Diane Spencer became involved in the

beauty business after becoming obsessed with

the fashion industry in NYC as a teen.  She

pursued her career goals in makeup artistry at

the Jeffie Liles Academy in Oxford, MS, where

her interest in hair color theory began to grow.

As a painter for years, she had a grasp on the

concept of color and the area of hair color drew

   her in as a challenge.

Diane eventually became a Redken performing

artist as a hair color educator, focusing on color

correction.  This boosted her career to a new

level.  She has been a stylist for 39 years.  In

1993, she opened her own salon, The Strand, at

the encouragement and support of her father.

Today, Diane is co-owner of Citizens Style,

located in the heart of Downtown Tupelo, with

    long-time friend and co-worker, Lynsee

    Pannell.

Diane is married to Tupelo native, Jeff Spencer,

and together they have four children.

She loves all forms of art, including painting

and live performance.  New Orleans, music

    and fine dining inspire her.

Diane goes above and beyond to try to

execute her clients requests and has always

sought continuing education to keep up with

    the ever-changing world of fashion.
